Background & Experience
Works in the areas of acquisition, disposition and consulting of commercial real estate.
Primary areas of expertise are industrial, public lands and property, and some general commercial.

Completed two studies for Santa Rosa County, FL. Those studies focused on properties joining the perimeters of NAS Whiting Field and three outlying fields (OLF's). The studies recommended lands to be acquired, zoning mechanisms and/or conservation easements to be used to protect the NAS and the OLF's from encroachment. Those recommendations are presently being implemented by the County.

Real Estate site analyses for the Florida Department of Transportation, a facilities study for Covenant Hospice

Extensive industrial and commerce park development experience including the following projects:

•Site selection and acquisition of 355-acres in Escambia County, Florida that is presently being developed as the Central Commerce Park on Highway 29. After acquisition, Griffing was one of two private sector business people asked to serve on a committee to discuss covenants and park layout and design.

•Recommended County purchase of the property to be used as an Aviation Park in 2002 study completed for Santa Rosa County, FL.

•Assembling 650-acres (+/-) in north Escambia County, FL to be used as a replacement field for the Navy's OLF 8. The original OLF 8 will become a County Commerce Park.

Assisted in the feasibility and development portions of two industrial parks in Mississippi in the early 1980's while employed by local chambers.

Assisted private developers in 1997/98 develop layout and marketing strategies (including the design of the marketing materials) for Gateway Business Park in Pensacola Florida.

Testified before the US House of Representatives Armed Services Committee on several occasions on various military issues in regard to their impact on local communities. Most notably those issues included housing, encroachment, among others.
